The Vicious Art: Hawaii

Welcome to The Vicious Art feature time.  Today we bring you the team medic Claire Mahaulu AKA Hawaii.

She is from Hawaii and her nickname is Hawaii.  Yes they are aware that was not the most creative day for the nicknames.

She started out studying biology, then switched to medicine, then she moved more towards the study of DNA and psychology and later neurosurgery.  It all works out she is something of a genius.

And that is all the time we have for today.  We hope you enjoyed this artwork of Hawaii.

The Vicious Art: Drake Garrett

And now another Vicious Art feature with only two images.

This is Drake Garrett.

Drake is the chief engineer.  He is in charge of making sure the imperial space colony ship Endeavour keeps flying.

The Vicious Art: Nick Harrison

I decided to do another art feature.  As I said before I usually like to have at least three pieces for these but the character is just a guy so whatever.

Say hello to Lieutenant Commander Nick Harrison.

Part of the idea behind the character of Nick Harrison is that in any other science fiction story he would probably be the hero but instead in The Vicious Planet he is surrounded by a bunch of women and hippies who do not listen to him or care what he has to say.

The Vicious Casting: Captain Smith

Welcome to another casting feature for The Vicious Planet.
Today we will look at possible casting picks for Captain Vancouver Smith.

Vancouver Smith is a retired imperial military officer.  But he was not a soldier, he never fought on the front lines of any battle.  He was an assassin.  For many years he killed without question believing in the absolute authority of the United Empire.  Then one day he was ordered to do more than just eliminate a single target, he was told to eliminate the entire family.  He carried out the order but afterwards he did something he had never done before, he asked why.  He was soon discharged and left wondering what to do with himself and whether or not the things he had done were worth it.  Smith went into the field of humanitarianism.
Years later he was called back to serve as the captain of the imperial space colony ship Endevour.  As Captain Vancouver Smith he was looking forward to a fresh start on a new planet.  But of course things did not go as planned and they ended up on The Vicious Planet.

My first casting pick is Terry O'Quinn.

He had been on shows like Lost, Hawaii 5-0, Millennium and many other roles in film and television.  I think he could play Captain Smith a character haunted by his past but trying to move forward as a leader.

My next casting pick is Colm Feore.

Colm Feore is a great character actor and I think he could probably make a good Captain Smith.

Next we have Miguel Ferrer.

I like Miguel Ferrer.  He has been in a lot of good stuff.

And my last casting pick is Zeljko Ivanek.

He is a very good character actor.

And once again I thought I would have more to say for each of these.  Anyway there is a reason I chose these actors, they are not known for having a lot of hair and as you may have noticed Captain Vancouver Smith does not have a lot of hair.  They are all still good actors but having less hair has the bonus of not having to worry about whether or not an actor is willing to give up some hair for the role.

The Vicious Art: Captain Smith

It is time for The Vicious Art again.  This time we focus on Captain Vancouver Smith.

Here is Captain Smith in his Imperial space captain uniform.

And here he is again.
Usually I like to have at least three pieces for each character but I only have two for Smith.
